Fatal Accidents

A man in his thirties died last night when he lost control of his motorcycle on the bridge over Eystri Rangá river. The motorbike ended up in the river, the man on the riverbank and he was deceased when rescue workers arrived on the scene. The cause of the accident is unknown however, there was no indication towards reckless driving. This is the eleventh fatal traffic accident this year. The tenth fatal accident also occured last weekend when a man in his nineties was hit by a car close to Hólmavík. There was heavy traffic into Reykjavík yesterday as this high travel season and Icelanders are going on summer holidays and camping in Iceland.
